How To Submit Website To Search Engines For Indexing?

I got my website up and running and I was told that I need to submit it to search engines for indexing. I just want to know how to submit my site to the search engines? I was under the impression that search engines will index my site on their own without me submitting it.

There is no real need to submit websites to search engine anymore as it does not give you any benefits. If your site is live on the web, search engines will find it regardless.  And definitely do not pay anybody to submit your site to search engines. In most cases search engines would find your site in few days. Your site is probably indexed  by now, just search your site and see if it shows up.

To submit your website to Bing just follow the link above.

ask

Ask do not accept URL submissions anymore.

Fore smaller search engines like DuckDuckGo, DogPile and so on, there is no need to submit to them as they are powered by Metasearch technology which means they would get their search results mostly form big search engines like Bing and Google.
