Member Levels And Permissions

Guest

Guest is a unregistered site visitor or member who is not logged in. Guest can view all the questions and answers as well as all the other site content including members user profiles. Guest can not use any site function except search function and can not ask questions, comment or post answers.

Registered User

Anyone who signs up and confirms their email address becomes registered user. This member level allows users to login to the front-end interface and their user account section. Registered users can freely and fully contribute content by asking and answering questions and leaving comments. Register users can also flag posts, vote on post, edit their own questions, answers and comments and use any other site function available.

Expert

Expert level is given to registered user by moderators or administrators after user has gained minimum of 1000 points. ( points and actions ) When user reaches 1000 point mark then user account will be reviewed and Expert status given if appropriate. Moderators will take into account question and answer ratio, quality of answers given, votes received and overall user behaviour.

This member level will give users ability to use text or image signatures and signature links. Read more about using Signatures. This member level will also give user an option to apply for editor level permissions if editor position becomes available.

Editors And Moderators

Being an editor or a moderator requires time and commitment and therefore they will be part of the paid site team. Any member who is at Expert level can apply for one of these position if there is a vacancy advertised at announcement page. Pay rate, schedules and further details of the job will be discussed and agreed between the member and site administrators when applying for the position and detailed instructions and guidelines will be given.
